Managing Director
Maria worked for Google, Boston Consulting Group and in online start-ups. Virtual work has been part of her operating environment from day one. She honed her digital and virtual teaming skills in the agile tech environment. Maria gained first-hand experience in how virtual tools and informal communication channels can boost collaboration and strengthen a team and the leadership to enable efficient decision-making. As the founder and managing director of the Virtual Academy she oversees all operations.
Huria Ogbamichael,
Content & Operations
Huria was 15 years part of the United Nations global peacekeeping effort where she helped build multi-stakeholder networks and teams across organisations and regions. As an in-house advisor on change management and policy development she was responsible for establishing and maintaining teams, working groups and networks across organisational and regional boundaries. As part of her responsibilities at the Virtual Academy she oversees the developments of program contents.
Anja Löhning - CFA,
Finance, Sales & Marketing
Anja has worked in corporate finance for both international corporations like Goldman Sachs and large banks as well as smaller firms for the past 20 years. She has gained experience in remote work via various roles, as a globally operating investment banker, a freelance consultant and a manager in startup companies. Today, she also trains finance professionals on advanced methods and techniques. As part of the Virtual Academy team she is responsible for finance, sales & marketing.
Uli Kremer,
IT, Design & User Experience
Uli brings over 25 years of experience in system development and consulting, with a focus on usability and user experience. He has supported multiple teams in the successful setup and development of communication portals. Enabling a simplified user experience is his priority. Uli brings extensive experience in virtual communication with agile teams to the team. As part of the Virtual Academy he is responsible for IT, Design & User Experience.
